Unable to get OpenVPN to work

I am unable to get OpenVPN to work, any assistance is very much appreciated. My goal is be able to remotely access local resources when outside of my local network. Here is some background:
I'm running version 24.1.10_8-amd64. Previously I was running version 23 however I upgraded in an attempt to find a solution. When the upgraded version did not resolve my issue I started with a fresh install and removed all other configurations.
I'm attempted to follow the guide:
https://docs.opnsense.org/manual/vpnet.html#openvpn-ssl-vpn
I've tried both the legancy "Servers" configuration as well as the new "Instances". With the Server configuration I was able to connect to the OpenVPN server, however I was never able to access any local IP addresses.
With the "Instance" configuration I'm not able to connect at all.
Below are the configuration and firewall settings I currently have as well as screen shots attached:
I have configured the CA authority and relevant certificates and local user
I have created both firewall rules, one to open port 1194 and another to allow OpenVPN connections to interact with local IP addresses
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi mwilliams,
have you added your recently created openvpn - interface after having created the new instance - to the assigned interfaces? Keyword: Interface assignments?
