Opnsense on AWS EC2 and User Data initial configuration

I would like to activate an ec2 with opnsense that automatically configures itself to manage at least the nat instance function within my aws vpc. Is it possible to set a default configuration at the start of the ec2 via the user data script? If so, do you have an example?
