Minor display issue CPU Temp & Mobile Browser<>Desktop Browser resizing
« Reply #15 on: August 07, 2024, 11:18:16 am »
Hi,

First of all I'd like to thank the developers with the 24.7 release: Installation was without issues, including the two hotfixes.

I also really like the new dashboard, kudos for that  8)

I noticed a couple of minor things:

- The CPU widget started of with Core 0, and after some stressing the CPU, it displayed the 8 cores (Core 0 to Core 7 of my DEC750). The bars of the individual CPU threads overlap eachother however, making it impossible to see the individual temperatures. Vertical stretching of the widget is limited (By code?)

Suggestion: Instead of the auto expanding/shrinking it is doing now, maybe instead offer the user a choice of 2 widgets:
- A CPU widget that always and only shows CORE 0 temperature
- A second widget that always shows ALL Cores temperatures (With vertical stretch limits removed)

The second thing I noticed for the dashboard is that on my mobile device the dashboard widgets are impossible to navigate (When you try the widgets move and change order), doesn't matter whether I switch to desktop view or mobile view

All not important: Congrats on yet another great release!

Hey,

The temperature thing was changed for 24.7.1 to be shown as is otherwise the chart gets a bit weird.

For mobile you need to lock the dashboard (and save). We're discussing how to make this the default in a later release (and modify lock-related UX).

Cheers,
Franco

Clean installation 24.7

In my case it works fine most of the time but sometimes the widget crashes reducing the size and returning to normal after a short while.

Yes, this stays pinned now in the full format with 24.7.1 onward.

Hi Franco,

They stay pinned now indeed, but here all cores show the core0 temp and the other cores seem to follow core0 exactly

Correct, which is exactly why the whole thing went full-circle. We may just end up adding a setting to crunch and average the temp display. This way the people with different temperature readings can benefit from this as well..
