If i use the sheduler Type "FlowQueue-Pie" in the pipe, i lose connection to WAN

After changing it to "CoDel" its working all as befor the Update.

FWIW, I was made aware of this: https://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/13996

I'll try to look into it tomorrow.

Cheers,
Franco

Can you try this kernel?

# opnsense-update -zkr 24.7_10

Thanks,
Franco

I'm seeing the same issue. I kept losing WAN on upgrade and could not figure out why. I tried three times. It was a Reddit user that clued me into the "PIE" issue and this post. Thanks for all your work on this. I'm hoping to give this a try as soon as I can.

this kernel worked for me. I am using FQ_PIE without losing internet.

Hi,

How long until the fix will be available in OPNsense officially?

Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks.

It appears to have been applied to the latest OPNsense release from earlier today. Was able to enable PIE after updating and so far running well after an additional reboot!
My OPNsense node:
Dell R220
OS: OPNsense Latest stable release (amd64)
CPU: GHz
RAM: 32GB
NIC: Intel I350T4V2BLK
Hard drive: 500GB UFS

Yes, fixed in 24.7.1. It's interesting that FreeBSD won't find this interesting enough to include it at the moment. It's been in non-working condition for all of 14.0 and 14.1.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
