I don't know if opnsense is some paid software or something but I use monit and this forum showed up while googling for monit queries. Is it alright if I ask a monit question? I'll link a stackexchange thread if required.

As i understood MONIT is a plugin that send notifications to your e-mail if something happend.
or you have a different question?
