after a few hours i get this error. the only way to solve is, rebooting.
kern.maxfiles limit exceeded by uid 0, please see tuning(7)
cant even login to the console. only accessible after rebooting the system. then after few hours it happens again.

same here. pretty bad as all services down but our internet. vpn halted. rebooting now to fix, but midday and distruptive. kinda seems related to zenarmor as i was seeing some logs from there. i couldnt even log into opnsense locally it was locking login. hard power cycle fixed

kern.maxfiles is currently 514279 (sysctl kern.maxfiles). If that limit is exceeded, there must be a file descriptor leak in some optional package. On my system, the number of open files is only at ~500 (sysctl kern.openfiles).
I do not use Zenarmor or things like that.
So you should look into what causes this. OpnSense itself seems not to be the culprit.
