just what i get on console in front of the deciso board

Which version did you upgrade from and to?

Ok, strange. There is no base system or kernel switch in this update so it shouldn't reboot. Did you issue the reboot?

The system itself anounced a restart and did it...
afterwards the result is like i posted

Doesn't look like anything related to OPNsense.
Just upgraded similar system without any issue at all.

My best guess it that you have disabled serial.
You can wait a while and see if the unit is responsive on LAN and access the GUI if it is, and then re-enable serial.

If all fails you can reinstall using USB too.

-Jos

im waiting about 1h now... nothing happened since this moment i made this screenshot from the serial console

Is the fan running? Do you see link-up LEDs on the network ports glowing?

it sounds like the box reverted to a standard configuration, LAN on em0 as 192.168.1.1 with DHCP running. Plug a laptop to see.

Hi Andreas,

Not sure what the issue might be, guess best thing is to reinstall using a USB stick and restore your config.
Normally upgrading from 16.7.5 to 16.7.6 doesn't require a reboot.

Perhaps you have a disk issue, maybe the drive is full?

Also booting from a USB drive and mounting your disk partition may provide some insight on what the issue is.

Jos

Hopefully i can get the old config :(

If you mount the drive you should be able to find the previous backups under /conf/backup

reinstalled and its running
thx to this good installer

@franco i sent you an email with some more information- perhaps you can have a look at
