DDNS freedns.afraid.org help

Hi all,

Just moved from pfsense to opnsense, and have most everything working normally. I have run into a snag with my DDNS config as it continues to give me the error:
Notice   ddclient   FAILED: updating "mydomainname": failed to get record list from https://freedns.afraid.org/api/?action=getdyndns&v=2&sha=<credentials>: ERROR: Could not authenticate.

I have chosen to use the ddclient for backend
i have chosen Freedns as the service
I have provided the correct user login
I have provided the active TOKEN that worked in pfsense
Check IP is my WAN interface, and monitor is WAN IP as well.

Is there anyone else out there that uses freedns for DDNS and got it to work? Does OPNSense use the TOKEN or the actual login password?

ok, well that was strange, messing around with the settings and finally got it to work.

Backend set to Native
Account service set to dyndns2
Same hostname / username / TOKEN
Same interface monitoring method.

Started working and logs now show:

Still don't REALLY know if this is the optimum settings, but it looks to be working.
If anyone has any clear proper setup, then please let me know.
Also, is there not any GUI dashboard widget for ddclient??
