SMTP Reports requires a username and password?

Zenarmor 1.15.1
I run postfix on Opnsense and therefore no user auth for incoming emails to be relayed out to my smarthost ( Google ). Without a username or password in the scheduled reports field, the Zenarmor mail service fails before it contacts the postfix server, throwing a 200 error. If I stick in random characters in both fields, the service at least calls postfix but gets bounced out with 'auth extension not supported by server'.
Anyway of fixing this?
If I try to go to gmail directly, on STARTTLS, I get the same auth extension error and on TLS, I get an early connection. So far, only sending stuff via the Zenarmor portal works but I don't want yet another third party servie touching my firewall.
