(SOLVED) Obligatory os-ddclient troubleshooting post

Good afternoon all. Still on 23.1.11_1 before upgrading to 23.7.  I'm trying to get os-ddclient working.  I'm using FreeDNS as my DNS service.  Attached is my config; but, this is what I'm seeing in the log:

2023-08-21T12:23:03-04:00   Notice   ddclient[59323]   62536 - [meta sequenceId="10"] WARNING: Wait at least 5 minutes between update attempts.   
2023-08-21T12:23:03-04:00   Notice   ddclient[59323]   62536 - [meta sequenceId="9"] WARNING: last updated <never> but last attempt on Mon Aug 21 12:22:34 2023 failed.   
2023-08-21T12:23:03-04:00   Notice   ddclient[59323]   62536 - [meta sequenceId="8"] WARNING: skipping update of <something.domain.com> from <nothing> to 136.<snip>.

Just wondering why I'm getting a "skipping update" message.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

NOTE: May have already found it.  In the General settings, I turned on "Advanced" mode and flipped the backend to "OPNSense".  That seems to have the SUCCESS log entry:

61702 - [meta sequenceId="29"] INFO: updating <something.domain>.com: setting IP address to <ip address>
62772 - [meta sequenceId="30"] SUCCESS: updating <something.domain>.com: update not necessary, 'A' record already set to<ip address>
