Hi,

I have the current OpnSense version installed and everything runs fine so far. One of the GB ports lead to my living room, where I use a simple GBit Switch. Here I want to connect m Samsung TV and my PS5. Unfortunately the Samsung TV only supports 100mbits. I tried Speedtest on my PS5 and it was also limited to 100mbits. OpnSense also shows 100mbits on the Interface.

My question is: is it still possible to get GBit to my PS5, or is the Samsung TV causing the Interface to be limited to 100MBits?

Kind regards and thanks for your time reading.

At a glance either the switch is not gigabit or you have a cabling issue

So the port from OPNSense towards the Switch shows 100M?

If that's the case you can not have more than 100M aggregated from the switch towards the OPNsense. If your Switch is really 1G than maybe it negotiated speed wrongly.

What kind of switch you are using exactly? (Brand and Type)

S.
