unplugging and plugging in cable modem crashes Opnsense router
« on: July 16, 2023, 06:06:05 pm »
I've been having regular crashes with Opnsense, always the same error

/usr/local/etc/rc.newwanip: The command '/sbin/mount -r -t nullfs '/usr/local/lib/python3.9' '/var/unbound/usr/local/lib/python3.9'' returned exit code '1', the output was 'mount_nullfs: /var/unbound/usr/local/lib/python3.9: Resource deadlock avoided'

it seems to happen whenever my WAN IP changes from the ISP, and I can recreate it by unplugging and plugging in my cable modem.

My config is very very basic. One WAN, one LAN, 2 VLANs but right now I have a connect all to all rule between them. It may be relevent that I have unbound on port 53535, with Adgaurd on 53 and it routes to 53535 as its DNS upstream.

Should I just kill unbound and use a google / clouflare DNS? reinstall? I don't THINK I did anything wrong?
