Thanks. I'll be following the review and as far as I understand it will hit the ports tree soon, but have a bit of doubt regarding the correctness of this.

Correctness?

On linux based firewalls, the whole vlan0 (and dhclient listening on vlan0) was never an issue.  It just worked without any modifications.
