DDNS for ipv6 only?

i have a need to only register the ipv6 address of a box that i get with slaac with ddns from on he.net, but running into failures with it. is there a tutorial?

is a link i found from 2013 which i thought might be interesting, but since its 10 years old, there should already be a "right" way to accomplish this.
