Gateway monitoring statistics without acting/reacting to failure

Is there a way to uncheck "Disable Gateway Monitoring" for a single gateway scenario, so that I can see loss numbers and have the quality RRD graphs and stats available....but also always assume it is UP? I do not want to failover to nothing (I only have 1 gateway) or take any action whatsover, I simply want dpinger running with the stats available for viewing at a later date.

I am guessing not now that I am looking at the code... it looks like this is how it was done (quite a long time ago) in pfsense, so probably would want to do something with similar functionally

Although the alarm script is triggered if you don't have default gateway switching enabled or gateway groups in use nothing really happens either way.
Cheers,
