OPNsense "broken" after first reboot

Hello all!
I have installed OPNsense on a Fujitsu Futro S740. In addition to the standard Ethernet port, I have installed a PCIE M.2 A + E to RTL8111F - RJ45 network card.
After installation, the futro boots normally, I plug cables into WAN and LAN. LAN goes directly into the PC. The PC gets an IP assigned and I can access the webinterface. I don't have to change the default interface settings for testing. This is how it looks like: https://imgur.com/gCm6Af3
Until then everything is normal. When I do a reboot, everything looks also ok in the log on the connected screen. The interfaces are listed with correct IP. However, I can no longer reach the Futro in any way via the LAN interface.
If I perform a reset via plugged in keyboard, the whole thing starts from the beginning.
I am absolutely clueless.

Check what the network setup post install is ie. 192.168.1.0/24 or whatever you set it to, then the dhcp service. The PC needs to be in the same network in order to access it post reboot. Chances are your pc has ip in a different network after the reboot.

I have seen that I have problems with kernel panic after reboot. I removed the second LAN interface and everything was back to normal. Then I plugged in a USB LAN adapter instead and immediately had kernel panic again at boot. Did I forget any BIOS settings?

edit:
It's working now but I get kernel panic on shutdown and when the machine runs for 1 minute without any interaction.

Then FreeBSD 13.1 is not compatible with that network adapter.

Possibly ... I know nobody who uses a card like this.
