Squid Proxy Caching
« on: February 27, 2023, 01:25:17 pm »
Hi everyone,

Is there a way to disable caching for the web proxy service in OpnSense? I tried to modify the squid.conf file but the change is not persistent and it doesn't remain after a service restart. I wasn't able to find the option to disable caching in the Web UI. Is there something I'm missing?

There is a drop-down menu on the Web Proxy page under the tab "General Proxy Settings", called "Local Cache Settings" that you maybe missed. Each tab has several sub-pages.
