Help with migrating tinc settings from pfsense to opnsense appreciated

Hi,
I have a working setup for a site to site VPN using tinc between two sites, both sites are currently using pfsense as firewalls.
Now I want to switch both sites from using pfsense to using opnsense and I have started to configure my new local firewall and I am getting stuck at the tinc configuration as the web GUI difffers between pfsense and opnsense so I cannot add the same settings in opnsense as I am using for pfsense.
I have been looking at the config files in pfsense and they are following the original tinc paths and logic so I thought I would be able to easily copy over the config files for tinc to opnsense but I cannot see the same file structure and logic in opnsense as described in the tinc manuals and as it is in pfsense although I have used the web GUI to configure my setup as closely as possible on opnsense.
On pfsense all the relevant config files and information is located under /usr/local/etc/tinc but this folder does not even exist in opnsense.
Do I need to create this folder manually in opnsense and put my config files there? This would seem strange as we do have a webGUI.
Is there anyone out there who could educate me on where I can find the settings information for the webGUI version of tinc under opnsense?
Or should I just uninstall the plugin and go for the (old?) tinc deamon without web GUI which seems to follow the original logic?
The question then is how will this work out in the future if this becomes unsupported?
I have been trying to search the forum here as well as google the subject but I cannot find any information regarding the location of the tinc config files under the opnsense web GUI plugin so I would appreciate if someone can help with this.

Install os-tinc
After that you get folder /usr/local/etc/tinc/<network>/...
You can configure it via webui.
