WAN Interfaces MAC Address is 00:00:00:00:00:00.

My WAN Connection needs to be on VLAN ID 7. When creating that interface I left the MAC address field empty thinking it would just inherit the MAC from its parent interface. But looking at Interfaces > Overview > WAN interface it shows 00:00:00:00:00:00.
It works fine but I was wondering if there might be any problems down the road since a mac address is supposed to be unique. Is my ISP even seeing this MAC address because there is still a modem in front of my opnSense with it's own MAC.

If I enter a MAC which one do I use? generate one?

It's not the VLAN. It's the PPPoE device which doesn't have a MAC.
