SOLVED - I AM AN IDIOT.
Hi Folks,
Refugee from pfsense here.
I decided to jump to pfsense and everything has gone really well apart from setting up and establishing my ipsec connections back into AWS.
Configs worked fine previously and I'm sure they will for opnsense but I can't seem to even get them to show in status or even get any logs.
Is there a bug here that anyone knows about? I can see patches for previous versions but not for 22.7.10.

Hi,
Don't think it was your issue. PHP 8 changed code behaviour subtly causing a save on the IPsec advanced page to flush the log level for StrongSwan instead of setting "basic". This was fixed in 22.7.10_2 and just saving advanced settings again will bring back the log.
