PPPoE on a CARP IF

I have been using Google for 2 days now but so far I couldn't find much related to Opnsense, PPPoE and CARP so I hope one of you could help me.
I'm running 2 Opnsense instances with HA configured. HA is working fine. So I created CARP addresses for both WAN and LAN interfaces. Now I'm trying to get PPPoE (ISP requirement) to run over the CARP address used for WAN as mentioned in this pfSense article (
https://forum.netgate.com/topic/135904/configure-an-pppoe-on-an-carp-if?lang=en-US
)
Now what I can't find in Opnsense is a way to link my new PPPoE connection to the CARP IP as mentioned at step 4.
So I installed 2 pfSense instances and followed exactly the same method and the CARP IP shows up under "Link Interface". Is this option not available in Opnsense? Should I link my PPPoE differently to make HA with PPPoE possible?

Just for information.
I have initialized a new OPNsense instance from the scratch (V23.1). It works now as described from the linked forum thread.
