[SOLVED] Not possible to set Time Zone to ETC/UTC via GUI

Hi,

It seems that it is not possible to set the time zone to ETC/UTC or any other representation of UTC in the GUI.

Is there some specific reason why such option is missing?

No specific reason other than portability, directly importing all timezones through PHP. I can look at this again, old ticket here for reference...

I see. It's not a deal-breaker, but nice to have for deployments spread across timezones and compatibility with other systems.

I wish there was a way to not go through the trouble of going through the file system directory structure, which was known to break before and may break again. I'll keep an eye out for a way to solve this.

Etc timezones will be back with 16.1.15.
