Due to a failed update I decided to reinstall OPNSense and grabbed the VGA image but I am not getting the same console as I once had, which allowed me to jump into the shell, is there something more I need to configure? I had made changes in Settings->Admin->Primary Console - I selected VGA and EFI and I do not get the menu I am expecting.

Any suggestions?

What *are* you getting? No output at all? Or something different from the menu?

All I am getting is the point where it loads the kernel then I see a blinking cursor and that's it. From the live image I see the expected menu but once I boot to the image then I do not. From the boot selection mention I can see 5. Console : Video is selected.

I don't have a serial port on this device so I am blind as to what is going on. I have reinstalled about a few times now with the same result.

Can you reach the UI? What is "Primary Console" set to? If not, can you install with legacy boot if your current try is UEFI and vice versa?

I can reach the UI but due to another router on the same network they often conflict, since I can not see the console, I cannot change the lan port.

I have set the primary console to VGA/EFI
Legacy boot is defined in the bios already but why would that change the console behavior?

So I changed the Video from Legecy to UEFI and I did not get any output, switched back to Legacy and getting to the same spot.

I had previously made 0 changes to the router but on a whim, or a lack of anything else that could be done, I restored the defaults and now I am seeing the expected behavior.
