Hello everyone,

I wanted to see if I could get pointed in the right direction. We have a Centurylink Gigabit connection coming right off the ONT to a Mini PC as the OPNSENSE Firewall. I have service, but I am limited to 100MB (Usually around 80MB)

Has anyone with this type of connection successfully reached 940/940?  I see a lot of topics, but everything seems to b a year old and some of those options don't exist anymore.

Thanks in advance

Yes, but you need strong Hardware..
have an AMD EPYC 3251 8-Core Processor (8 cores, 16 threads)
now and it works great..
have 1000/300 here..  Not symetric..
Tried an I5 first, and it only reached about 700mbit
(There must be something wrong with the pppoe stack)

I also use CenturyLink PPPoE over DSL transparent bridge.  I have 40 Mbps/3 Mbps DSL.  I can't get fiber where I'm at.
OPNsense 23.1.11-amd64
Intel Core2 Duo CPU E4500 @ 2.20GHz (2 cores, 2 threads)
Acer ASM1610/VTM261 Motherboard
2x1 GB DDR2 800 Mhz (Motherboard Limit)
60 GB SSD
2x1 Gigabit LAN
