ntopng high cpu utilization in 22.1?

I have three firewalls running. Two work in CARP mode and one at a different location.
Before the updates/upgrade there were no problems with ntopng. After the updates/upgrade from v21.7.7 to v22.1.2, the CPU in all three firewalls hits the limit.

I disabled ntopng and everything runs smoothly. Should I uninstall and reinstall ntopng?
Thanks for any help with this.

Hi,
as I experience the same behaviour on 22.1.8 - did you get this somehow fixed?

Thanks for any info,
Peter

Hi Peter,

with the single firewall, after uninstalling the ntopng components and reinstalling them, I was able to get ntopng to work without errors.
I didn't succeed with the other two firewalls, although the hardware and software are almost the same.
I got the impression that ntopng is not well maintained. There is also very different documentation for the installation on OPNsense. I think I took notes on installing on the single firewall. If you want, I can send them to you.

Regards
Morn

Hi Morn,

thanks for the reply. I followed https://www.ntop.org/guides/ntopng/third_party_integrations/opnsense.html
It did work well for some time (minutes to hours), then OPNsense started to behave erratically - gateways were marked as down... I will try uninstalling and installing, maybe that helps.

Best,
Peter
