is wireguard-kmod supported under Opnsense 22.1?

I have upgraded to Opnsense 22.1.

Shall I install wireguard-kmod? I was using it before the upgrade.

Err, no problem. To further answer your question it's there and it works same as 21.7 and before. At some point we would like to split the current plugin into two variants... one being the older go implementation and a new plugin (using the same code) that automatically installs the kmod package to avoid having to do it manually.

We should probably take care of this until 22.7 is out. Maybe Michael will agree.

Yes. Biggest decision is if we make os-wireguard the kmod package and add os-wireguard-go or keep os-wireguard as go and add os-wireguard-kmod?

Plus we need to to fix the service status for kmod if I remember correctly.
