Help with port forward after VPN

Hello everyone,
I have a setup where I have two separate internal networks (separated with physical NICs), LAN and Guest. They are isolated from each other.
What I am trying to do is make a VPN connection from home (Internet) into the Guest network and then a RDP connection to a computer in the LAN network.
I have a VPN setup where I can tunnel into the Guest network. I am able to make a tunnel and RDP into a computer on the Guest network.
I have a NAT rule (port forward) to allow a RDP connection from the Guest network to a computer on the LAN. This works when I test it from a computer on the Guest network. I am able to make the RDP connection.
What I want to do is make a VPN tunnel to the Guest network and then make a RDP connection to the computer in the LAN, directly from my home computer. But this does not work. The RDP connection from my home computer fails.
Does anyone have any ides on how to make this work?
Thank you in advance for your help.
