Problem connecting Apple Appstore

Since the 21.1.8 release i have trouble connecting to the apple appstore. I have to try multiple times to open it because it wont connect.

I have this on my iphone and apple tv.

There is an any any rule and dont see it blocked in the logging, i have DoH enabled to cloudflare dns on port 853.

Yeah same issue here, thought it was my pihole blocking (changed to another DNS server) at first, it isn't. No logic in it, sometimes it loads, sometimes it isn't working at all

Yeah sometimes it works instantly but a lot of time it wont work.

I also change the dns server but helps. Seems this release it not good.

I would like to flag this up as well. Sometimes I cannot connect to Apple App Store nor to Apple Music. I run with Unbound DNS service with DNSSEC enabled and use cloudflare 1.1.1.2. Rest of my setup is pretty basic. Still on 21.1.

I also had blacklist turned on in Unbound and played with the lists, whitelisted Apple domain (.*\.apple.com)  and eventually turned it of completely. No luck, still problems connecting to apple services sometimes.

Again today, could not connect and even had trouble reaching support.apple.com (specifically https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT210060). Then when support.apple.com page after 2 time outs finally opened, also de Appstore opened.

Is there any logging or tracing we can check that can give some information?

I’m seeing this too. I’m running Unbound with DoH to Cloudflare and Quad9, and I’m running Sensei as well. I’m on OPNsense 21.7.1 BTW, so it happens there as well.

Have you tried restarting the app? I also encountered a similar situation, but I managed to solve this problem by restarting the application. You can try downloading it from the applapp.store service, since I always download everything through this service and never had any problems. It all depends on many reasons, but most often, it's just a crash when downloading or the application itself has some problem. So don't worry too much, I think I have advised you to solve your problem right away. I wish you all the best, good luck

It has been a while since I had this problem. Running on the latest OPN Sense (21.7.7). But I had Unbound Blocklist turned off. Just turned it on again to see if there is any difference.

Restarting the app sometimes did and sometimes did not work.
