Unbound set cache-max-negative-ttl via WebUI
« on: July 01, 2021, 09:05:06 am »
Is it possible to set the cache-max-negative-ttl via the GUI ?
If not can I change it manually in a file or does this get overwritten when I make changes in the WebUI

Maybe you should elaborate a bit more on the use case for this, so people can judge if this is a one-off or something which deserves general support.

Anyway, you should be able to put this setting in Unbound:General: Custom Options. Don't put it directly in some config file, as this will get overwritten on config changes or with a reboot.

In theory there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice there is.

Thanks for the quick reply I added it there.

My use case is when I create new DNS Records and sometimes they do not propagate as fast as I test them.
So I have to wait till the negative Cache Timeout is reached or restart the Unbound Service.
