device are slow to connect to router

it takes about 30 seconds for any of my devices to find the internet after sleeping. I'm just told there's no connection until then and suddenly it's back. Is there something I'm missing in Win10 that's causing this? It does seem to be affecting my Vizio TV as well though.

Just an idea : Are you using Cisco switches?! These have a feature called portfast that is bypassing some fancy learning magic. A sleeping device is essentially disconnected so it might be that this is your problem, maybe not, but worth a shot ;)
