Revamped firmware API

My api calls for firmware status are not woring properly anymore. Is there any documentation of the changes?

The changes have been documented below but docs not yet updated:

"upgrade" is now for major updates, and the new "update" for stable updates. Both end points no longer use any arguments so they are easier to script.
