Monit / BIND Daemon / named
«

Hello everybody,
we have the problem that the named service (BIND daemon) keeps exiting.
We would therefore like to check the service via Monit and restart it there. But we don't find any good instructions or settings. We would be very grateful for any help or further information.
Thank you
Mike

Doesn't one example in documentation handle this?

Unfortunately, no. I'll have a look at the weekend to see if I can deduce it after all.

Could you adapt something like the below?

In essence use monit to monitor the PID and then restart by the appropriate configctl command? Just guessing
