Scheduled Failover

Hi,
I would very much like a way to schedule failovers at night, when my users (and I) should be sleeping.
Searching has brought up the following:

Code Select Expand

sysctl net.inet.carp.allow=0
to disable carp, and

Code Select Expand

sysctl net.inet.carp.allow=1
to re-enable it.

It works in my lab setup, but before going any further I'd like your input: is there another, preferred way?
How would you set it up, using
