Hi, i have a strange Problem:
Pings to the firewall and pings through the firewall(different subnet/vlan) sometimes are more than 1ms.
Its all local Network, so it should be max 1ms.
These high latencies also make problems on TCP-Connections sometimes.

I am on 20.7.4-amd64, virtualized on ESXi, Intel NIC passthrough.
Also added a virtual NIC, which shows the sames symptons while other VMs on that ESXi host dont.

This Problems occurs only with IPv4, IPv6 does not show these Symptoms.

I have disabled all Hardware-Acceleration for the Network.
I just cant find this Problem and dont know where to search for it.
Attached is a Screenshot of the ICMP latencies

Thanks for any Ideas and help in advance.

If you check the interface statistics widget does it report any errors/collisions?

This issue may apply to you: https://github.com/opnsense/src/issues/107

If you don't want to update to 21.1 to try the test-kernel, you could test the workarounds mentioned in the referenced pfSense forum thread; most importantly disabling SMP using the tunable kern.smp.disabled=1
