Problem with USB WLAN nic
«

I used an USB WLAN nic without problems for months. Today I had to delete the assignments for this to do some cleanup after I subscribed for a new FTTH connection. After this the device is not visible anymore in Interfaces: Wireless: Devices. The device is still correctly discovered by the system as run0 but it seems that the run0_wlan device is not created anymore. I tried to reboot several times without success. Any help?

Hi there,
Yes, I have seen this before. I too use this (cheap) way to create an access point!
The best way to solve this issue is to save a config than remove any evidence of that usb device from it!
After you have done this you can import that same cleaned up config and import the interface as a new one.
Hope this works for U too
Greetings, mark
