Persistent custom configs?
« on: July 12, 2020, 12:45:04 am »
Hi there,

I edited some configuration files outside of the GUI but after reboot i found my edits missing. So i guess any edits made outside the GUI will get deleted because of config files get recreated from templates.
In case of -for example- /usr/local/etc/telegraf.conf i could probably edit /usr/local/opnsense/service/templates/OPNsense/Telegraf/telegraf.conf to inject my custom settings but of course that will only last until the telegraf plugin gets updated.
So, is there any way to make custom edits persistent between reboots and survive plugin updates as well? Is there some sort of include directive i'm unaware of?

Thanks.
