pinging the LAN interface returns the DMZ IP address

Just migrated from pfsense:

OPNsense hostname: edge
OPNsense domain: domain.com

DMZ: 192.168.9.1
LAN:  192.168.8.1
WAN: Comcast DHCP

Unbound host override: edge.domain.com -> 192.168.8.1

Yet, when I ping edge.domain.com from the LAN I get 192.168.9.1

Anyway to change this behavior and have OPNsense return the override I defined in unbound, or at least the LAN interface?
