Is there a list of oids or a management information base (MIB) used for managing the entities in OPNsense?

Is it best to just run snmpwalk or the like to generate the list of oids?

thank you in advance for any help you can provide

Hello @mimugmail,

Pardon me for the piggyback because I feel that my request does not warrant a new thread. Could you please provide a simple example of snmpwalk for a Protectli FW4B box? I've tried several specific OIDs (e.g. .1.3.6.1.2.1.1.3.0) but I cannot receive a valid response at a remote server from the FW4B box for anything that I try (newbie operator/user issue). Timeout is the standard termination message. My limited understanding is that the snmp service is enabled by default in the OPNsense factory installed image.

Looking for generic (MIBs) set so that I can have a common set for the router and switches at a very nominal summary level (device description, uptime and if possible traffic). The MIBs that I have chosen work for managed switches in the farm and I don't want to isolate the FW4B into a group of its own for health reporting purposes. I don't have to tell you that I had to Cancel out of snmpwalk when running it against the switches!  ;D

Kind regards.

P.S. The remote server is a very simple Nagios Core host server that I have tweaked with custom plugins and if you have alternate suggestions please feel free to suggest accordingly (for my learning).
