RADVD - Why Did This Activate?

I built a new platform for OPNsense and when I did the software install I am now showing the RADVD service running. Why is this running? Is it related to IPV6 only?

Ok makes sense but then why did this not get installed on any of the other builds I have done? This is the first where this option is now active, yet there is nothing in the Services section for this?

Well its been there as long as I've been using Opnsense, that was back in late 2017; it was also used in pfsense which I had used before that, and opnsense was forked from pfsense.
if you use ipv6 then radvd is one of the daemons used, always has been.
