New OPNsense Build
«

I am in the middle of building a new OPNsense router. This is based on the following:
Intel i5-7600
8 Gig RAM
256 Gig NVMe drive for OS
1 TB SATA drive for logs/etc
Onboard Intel Gigabit NIC (EM0)
4 Port Intel I350 PCIe Card (IGB0-IGB3)
I am using the onboard NIC for the WAN port and the 4 port card for my LAN segment, including a mgmt segment. Is this the optimal setup or should I move the WAN port onto the 4 port card and move the mgmt segment onto the onboard NIC?
