Traffic shaper stops working when adding multiple pppoe
« on: November 15, 2015, 06:43:39 am »
Hi,

I'm using version 15.7.17-amd64.

I did a clean install, set up my pppoe connection and put in a few traffic shaper rules. The rules work because I can see the one computer on the LAN speed drop as soon as I start doing speed tests on another computer.

The moment I add another pppoe connection, the traffic shaping no longer works.

I've restarted the firewall state rules and even rebooted but it only starts working again after removing the second pppoe

Does the second PPPoE link come up ok? Is it usable? We've had reports of half-working scenarios, e.g. https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=1711.0

Both ppp connections are from the same ISP. They both get a unique IP but under Status -> Gateways they have the same gateway?

I can still route connections out through either one using firewall rules though.

Could this be the issue?
