openvpn read from TUN/TAP : Input/output error (code=5)

Hi,
since a couple of days openvpn generates ~60.000.000 TUN/TAP error messages a day.
But the vpn sessions are still working like expected.
Openvpn is working for years now without problems, but now it is flodding my syslog receiver :-(
Âny idea how to solve that ?
