SOLVED: Problems with newly created VLANs
« on: May 29, 2019, 10:37:34 am »
Hi.

I have created a total of 4 VLANs.

I first created 2 of them, including DHCP server, firewall rules and so on, did some testing and everything worked as expected.
I then created two more with identical settings, but different VlanID's and ip's.
I just can't get a connection out to the internet and the DHCP server is not giving me an IP. If i set a static IP i can ping the server IP.

Is there a way to troubleshoot, look at logfiles to find out what is going on?

Setup:
VLAN250 192.168.250.0 Everything OK
VLAN50 192.168.50.0 Everything OK
VLAN15 192.168.15.0 No connection out, can ping 192.168.15.1
VLAN10 192.168.10.0 No connection out, can ping 192.168.10.1

Did some more troubleshooting and found the problem.

Was a bug with my switch and not related to OPNsense in any way. No wonder I could not find anything wrong in OPNsense... ::)

Sorry.
