Hello,

After transferring my router pc to a smaller enclosure, I had an error about the cpu being new and to reset bios, inadvertently for some reason this killed the OPNsense install I've had running for a good while.

Ultimately I decided I will just reinstall as the only additional things I've added from a basic setup was bufferbloat and adguard through the mimugmail repo.

I'm struggling to get the PPPoE working on this fresh install and was hoping someone might be able to help.

My isp is Vodafone FTTP/FTTH which uses city fibre and requires a VLAN tag of 911 for the WAN and PPPOE.

I have 2 interfaces, ix0 (LAN) and ix1 (WAN).

First I go to Interfaces/Devices/VLAN
I create a VLAN on the WAN (ix1) interface with Vlan tag 911. This creates "vlan01".

Second I go to Interfaces/Devices/Point-to-point.
Link Type PPPoE
Link Interface as vlan01
Username and password for PPPoE
This creates interface "pppoe0".

Third I go to Interfaces/Assignments.
I change WAN interface "Device" from ix1 to "pppoe0 (vlan01) - mypppoeusername"
Save.

When I last set this up, when vlan and pppoe was under "other types" rather than devices, after I had done the above (or at least the equivalent of what I believe the above is doing) I would go into Interface/Overview in the Gateway column it would show my external, static IP address. But now I get nothing.

Am I missing something obvious with locations being slightly different now?

Any help would be much appreciated

I don't see anything obvious wrong there. Do you have a backup of your old config? Double-check your credentials? Check [System > Log Files > General] for clues?
