logging not working

Hey everyone,

since I took over responsibility for our OPNsense in the company, I have already implemented many optimizations. Unfortunately, however, I realized today that logging has not been working since January of this year.

OPNsense version:
OPNsense 24.1.6-amd64
FreeBSD 13.2-RELEASE-p11
OpenSSL 3.0.13

It's not just the GUI which shows nothing in the logs, further the logfiles dont get any logs. I've checked syslogd and it wasnt running - but its enabled? I already restarted the server the past days - hasnt it should come up?

Further i already used System -> Settings -> Logging to "Reset Log files" but they dont come up again.

Does anyone have any ideas what else I could check?

Seems that any update broke syslog-ng package - reinstalled it and logs working again.
