I killed NEW Opensense - How to FIX

I purchased a new Protectli 2420 with OpnSense installed.  Since my home network is currently a 192.168.1.xx network I wanted to change the LAN IP.  I logged in using the Web interface and JUST changed the LAN IP to 192.168.10.1 -- I did not switch the LAN and WAN ports and I did NOT think about changing the LAN DHCP.

I tried to log into the new IP - and OpnSense did not reply.  I found comments that stated my issue was I did not set the LAN's DHCP when I changed the IP address.

I logged into the console as a Single User and performed Selection #2 - "Set Interface IP Address".  I set the IP back to 192.168.1.1 - 24, set DHCP from 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.199, set HTTP, and reset Web Gui - I did nothing to IP6 stuff.

When the system configures - it throws an error stating that line 233 of /user/local/etc/inc/system.inc is empty.

I've performed a CMOS reset per the Protectli tech support.  I performed a Factory Reset via the Console Menu (Same menu that I attempted to change the IP).

I'm NOT a linux guy - little to no knowledge.

I tried to nl the file system.inc (full path) from the console menu but that did not work hopping I would get an idea of the error.

THIS has got to be a common error as I can't be the only dumb shit that just changed the IP address and not the DHCP settings!!!

Any comments on how to fix or what to do?

Thanks

If it is new, you won't have any configuration settings you need to keep. Perform a fresh install.

That wouldn't do you much good anyway - OPNsense is based on FreeBSD  8)
