Help with DNS setup for Unbound and Domain Controllers

Hi,

I recently started using OPNSense and im having some troubles i need help with. Tried searching for answers but none of the ones i found helped me in the end.

Im using two domaincontrolers in my home network for learning purposes.

Im having trouble joining servers to my name.local domain. Im able to add them to the domain, but i get no record added to the DC DNS so can rdp with the short name.

OPNSense w Unbound - 192.168.100.254
DC1 - 192.168.1.201
DC1 - 192.168.1.202

What i did so far was:
OPNSense System\Settings\General add 9.9.9.9 as dns server and unchecked "Allow DNS server list to be overridden by DHCP/PPP on WAN"

DHCP for each VLAN has DC1+2 as DNS-servers

Added a Domain Override in Services\Unbound DNS\Overrides for mydomain.local with the IP of DC1

In DC1+2 i have the IP of my OPNSense added as forwarder, it says unable to resolve.

Any suggestions on what i should do otherwise?
