Wifi Access Point slower than wired connection

Hello! I have a 600mbps connection if wired. I setup an wifi access point through the LAN coming out the OPNsense router. The speed is only 30mbps when connected thru wifi. The wifi access point has ethernet ports. When accessed thru ethernet ports, it has the speed of 600mbps.

Any thoughts on how to speed up the wifi access point connection?

Thanks.

That sounds like a purely WiFi issue. Have you asked on the forum for the OEM of your access point?

I used 2 brands of wifi access points. The same result.

My opnsense is behind the default isp router, EG8145V5.

Could it be that is the root cause?

It's a pure wifi thing here, since the wired port on AP can do max speed. Depending on both AP and client wireless NIC, a maximum speed will be determined.

For instant, 802.11g will be slower than 802.11n/ac.

For myself, once upgraded to wifi 6E, I can pull 500Mbps+ easily on a Pixel 6 phone.
