Hi guys,

Im very new to OPNsense and i am having issues getting the OS to detect my TX201 interface cards, they are detected in the bios so this appears to be a driver issue?

It is a TP link product so i am not sure if they have a driver in the plugin or package section, here is the link to the product spec page Here

The spec page also features a linux driver download but im not sure if that is able to be somehow loaded into OPNsense

Any help with this is appreciated!

Thanks!

Looks like you're out of luck. The FreeBSD kernel 13.1 does not show the TX201 or its r8125 controller as supported. You'll have to pick another card from the list https://www.freebsd.org/releases/13.1R/hardware/#support

AH darn thanks for that list, do you have any recommendations for at least 2.5gb rj45 cards?

You can try Proxmox or ESXi to abstract the NIC and run OPNsense as a virtual without buying a new card.

It's added complexity but you do get snapshots for easy rollback of changes and upgrades.
