UFS vs ZFS, data loss / corruption from power outages?

I've seen a few comments online about people with the UFS setups losing data on power loss and ending up with corruption.
Is this genuinely that common? I love ZFS in my NAS but for some reason I chose UFS on install (I think because it was the default?)
I am about to make my opnsense machine 'production' by cabling it all up in the final location in my house and I have a chance to just back it up, wipe it, ZFS it and restore the config - does that process do the whole lot in one go? Does it miss anything?
Should I do this backup / restore on ZFS build? I'm assuming it's only a 20 to 30 minute job if the backup is thorough.

I'd say that depends on the memory of your device. If you have at least 4 G of RAM and a small install disk, or at least 8 G in general, by all means gor for it.
I run ZFS on a 2 G netbook, too, without any problems due to limited memory but the general recommendation is a bit higher. Plus, you probably want to run some services, too ...

Thanks for the reply.
I've got 8GB so yeah I'll go for it when I finally physically do the work..
Hopefully the backup and restore process is painless .
I'd install to 2 disks but sadly it's a tiny little machine without room for one more (unless USB)
